Member badge
The badge is a small SVG image, hosted here, that a site in the collection can embed. It links back to that site's page in the collection. Every figure on it comes from the collection's own records, never from the site.
What the badge shows
- Pages measured
- The number of URLs in the site's own sitemap, counted by the collection's weekly sweep and shown with a thousands separator. A site too large to re-walk keeps its last full count, so the figure is always a measurement but not always a recent one.
- Updated
- The date of the newest content the site itself reports, from its feed or its sitemap lastmod. It is not a build date.
- Status dot
- The site's current status on the public operations page. The dot is absent when the operations feed has no row for the site, or when its latest snapshot is older than that page's freshness limit.
Live examples
These are the live badges for the three largest sites in the collection.
How to embed
Replace <slug> with the last segment of the site's page URL on this collection (find it on every site's page) and <Site name> with the site's name.
<a href="https://tonvincollection.com/sites/<slug>">
<img src="https://tonvincollection.com/badge/<slug>.svg" alt="<Site name> — part of the Tonvin Collection" height="20">
</a>The same badge as Markdown:
[](https://tonvincollection.com/sites/<slug>)The image refreshes itself at most hourly as the measurements change, so there is nothing to re-embed.
Who can use it
Any of the 105 public sites in the collection. A site that is not listed publicly gets no badge and the address returns a 404.
